This little fella was enjoying the new planter/bird feeder (stress the bird part) and then he looks over at me and plainly says more please...
How do you help but feed them along with the birds.. I don't put too much out in the summer but occasionally I put out a little to let them know it's still here... That way in the winter they'll be here in force...

Nice little guy. We have one outside our kitchen window and the squirrels can hang upside down by one claw to get the goodies.
Great photo. I do just the opposite. I don't put out anything in summer hoping to have a few less in the fall in winter. They over run the place, along with chipmunks, and rabbits. Poor birds don't have a fitting chance. So, I like to limit things in order for the birds to actually get some. The squirrels and rabbits are so bold and brazen they come right up on the deck when hubby and I are sipping cocktails. They eat all my flowers if I don't shoe them off...and I'm not there all the time, so ...pots aren't looking very good.
Swing by for a visit, it's been a while and you've been missed.

Well I don't put it out regularly because I can't afford it... Also I don't want them to get too dependent on me for food when this area is so rich in food.
I try to create different areas for them but the squirrels seem to want to hog it all even with the freestanding bird feeders...
